Every event commits to the hash of the one before it. Editing or deleting a single record breaks verification for everything after it, and the envelope page reports exactly where.
Each link carries a 32 byte random token and only its SHA-256 is kept, so a copy of the database on its own does not let anyone sign as your recipient.
The completed file is hashed and that hash is signed with an Ed25519 key held by your installation. Anyone with the file and the public key can prove it has not changed.
